The Saboteur
A low-confrontation non-elimination game for 5-8 players on WhatsApp. Inspired by The Mole (TV show).
“Who just made us fail... on purpose?”
The Concept
Everyone works together on daily challenges. Each success adds money to a shared pot. One player — The Saboteur — is secretly trying to make challenges fail without getting caught. At the end, a quiz tests who's been watching most carefully.
How It Works
Everything happens on WhatsApp — the group chat is your game room, and private DMs with the host are where you make your secret moves. Each step has a multi-hour window so no one needs to be online at the same time.
- 1One player is secretly assigned as The Saboteur
- 2Each day, a group challenge is posted (trivia, estimation, ranking, etc.)
- 3The Saboteur receives secret instructions on how to subtly tank the challenge
- 4Pass a challenge → money goes into the pot. Fail → money comes out
- 5On the final day, everyone answers a quiz about The Saboteur's identity
- 6Highest quiz score wins the pot

Who is The Saboteur for?
The Saboteur is perfect for groups who dislike direct conflict; observation-lovers. If you enjoy the mole (tv show)but want something you can play asynchronously with friends who aren't always available at the same time, this is your game.
It runs entirely on WhatsApp over 5-7 days — no app downloads, no video calls, no scheduling. Just message when you can. Works great across time zones and for groups who are busy during the week but still want a shared experience.
